I've been sewing for as long as I can remember, having had it passed on from my grandmother, to my mother, to me. I started designing costumes when I was about seven. My first costume was a very simple egyptian tunic, little more then a tube of fabric with a couple straps for sleeves. I haven't stopped designing since. I also ejoyed dressing up my little sister when I was little, using whatever scraps of fabric and sheets I could find.
My dad was a boy scout leader when I was growing up, so leatherwork kind of came with the terriory. I enjoyed sitting in and competing with my dad's scouts; although, they might not have enjoyed my company quite as much.
